For years there’s only been one name in Highland photography . .  . walk into any branch of Graham Tiso’s in most Scottish towns from Fort William to Edinburgh and those stunning glass-framed shots of Glencoe selling for £120+ on the walls are almost surely taken by the brilliant and much-respected Colin Prior.

There’s a new kid in town though.

He’s just taken possession of obscenely expensive, wallet-worrying panoramic equipment and the results are starting to flood through. The shot below is not a volcano . . . it’s the result of getting up at the crack of dawn in January to snap Stob Dearg at Buachaille Etive Mor at sunrise. The lava effect is incredible. The photographer’s name is Andy Fair . . . he doesn’t have a web-site yet but soon . . .  Colin Prior . . .  watch out!
