Last year on a trip to Tanzania I posted on BBCAfricaSlowdown.com a video of some guys in Dar es Salaam playing Bao.

I mentioned in the post that I had a copy of a 1971 set of rules in English for this complex game. By popular demand here they are scanned and uploaded. I’d be very interested to know if this guide actually helps anyone understand the game more. To me it’s still a bit of a mystery . . . .
