Oasis, Slide Away

This is the track Noel says on the Definitely Maybe anniversary DVD  is “for the fans”. Never released as a single it’s the most soulful and melancholy track on Definitely Maybe. When I was looking for live versions to put up here I found a recent one (2008) from Wembley and it’s clear that Liam’s voice has not aged well. The closing ceremony at the Olympics was another example. This vid is from 1995 when he was at the peak of his snarling, Mancunian sneeriness.
